We design an integrated mechanical system based on the geothermal resource you have right in your own backyard, parking lot, or under the slab of new construction. The Indie Energy system will be much less expensive to operate and result in a much healthier building for both its occupants and the environment.

Indie Energy Engineering applies its wealth of practical experience and rigorous engineering discipline to model the heating and cooling performance of the building and its mechanical systems. It uses the most advanced computer-based tools (such as TRNSYS and REVIT) in an iterative design process that promotes a collaboration with all professional resources in the project. The complete architectural data set, from plans and elevations, to wall sections, insulation, glass type, and orientation, is modeled. A thermal assumption template outlines occupancy, space use, and equipment factors in the heating and cooling model. Code requirements, LEED points, and energy efficiency objectives (e.g. >50%) are incorporated.

Drill

Indie Energy has developed a new approach to creating geothermal-based systems for buildings. Our urbanfit™ drilling technology means that whether your site is large or small, you can (almost) always have your own geothermal property.

Indie Energy has the fastest growing urban geothermal drilling operation in the U.S. Indie Energy drilling technology is fast, clean, safe, and provides efficient energy wells from construction to commissioning. Typical well depths exceed 600 feet, which means fewer wells and faster execution. Indie Energy drillers are experts in deep well systems that advance steel casing to rock, improving soil stability and environmental protection. Once the casing is cemented into bedrock, the drilling proceeds quickly until the target depth is achieved.

Build

Since we design every aspect of the space conditioning system, from the energy field and ground source heat pumps to the energy recovery ventilation system, we take responsibility to make sure it all gets built right, and works right.

Our design engineering process makes submissions, construction management and coordination, permitting, commissioning, and optimization of the system much more effective. Throughout the process, Indie Energy engineering coordinates the implementation of the system for a successful, integrated construction process.
